Bikeability
Bikeability has always been important in improving the safety, confidence and competence of young people travelling to and from school, but with the new focus on Health & Wellbeing, life skills and 'Active Schools' linked to the doubling of the PE Premium, it is more important than ever before. Cycling to and from school is considered 'Active Travel' and can be included in a young person's 'Active 30 Minutes'. Delivering Bikeability at your school demonstrates the development of an active culture leading to an 'Active School'. Developing active travel, including any costs associated with delivering Bikeability (where applicable) is a legitimate spend of the PE Premium and can go towards achieving the 'Active 30 Minutes'.
We run closed courses in schools on their school site and we also run open group courses during most school holidays at our Sports Centre. One to one 'learn to ride' sessions are arranged on demand.
